Saturday Watercolor

A confident painter understands the personality of each pigment, paper and brush. Each month these classes focus on essential characteristics of watercolor materials to build a strong foundation of skills and knowledge. Students receive individual guidance and demos of various techniques. Basic building blocks:  Setting up your palette. Stretching watercolor paper. Playing with texture. Staining, transparent and opaque pigments. Mixing colors. Washes and gradations. Painting from life, photos or imagination. Design and composition.

When: Monthly Saturday classes from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Studio 393, Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413
Fee: $60/session. Space is limited to six artists. Please register at least one week prior to class to reserve your space. A list of suggested materials is available when you register.
